That said, if you appreciate fine art, then I urge you to view the work of Richard Young.
Mr. Young is a prolific painter of dancers, most notably (but not limited to) ballet and Flamenco. He also paints singers, musicians, nudes and semi-nudes. The skill with which he wields a palette knife is astounding. His paintings are dripping with realism, passion and so much more. They have that 'indefinable something' that makes them far greater than the sum of their parts. The fact that Richard Young does not earn a living solely through the sale of his paintings makes me cock my head sideways, squint my eyes and wonder what's wrong with the world.
The first time that I saw a Richard Young painting (a ballerina) I gasped. Literally. When I see quality art I become instantaneously and crazily excited. Multiply that feeling by an order of magnitude when the subject matter is something that I love such as dance in general or ballet in particular. I've never been able to properly articulate the feeling. It's huge and effects me to the core of my being. You either get what I'm saying or you don't. Before I ramble myself off the page ... the point is that I think Richard Young is a brilliant artist and so I was shocked to learn quite recently that he sells relatively few prints. (cocks head and squints even harder)
I do not know Richard Young personally and have no agenda or ulterior motive for singing his praises other than my love of art and a sincere desire to see a talented artist achieve his goal. In addition, I have no formal knowledge of Fine Art. I simply know what pleases my eye and gets me in the gut. Richard Young's art does both. Follow the links below and find out if the same is true for you.

It is my hope that I may be who I will, and that others will know me for who I am rather than for what others may say about me.
I never see you online. Miss you my sweet girl
